Symantec no longer invested in Chinese Joint Venture (JV) with Huawei

On November 14, 2011, Symantec announced its decision to sell its shares in the Huawei Symantec joint venture (JV) with Huawei.  Coincidentally, this announcement that the JV was officially unjoined came only 3 months after Mark Bregman left Symantec.  It was Mark’s leadership which enjoined these two companies, and to his credit, the venture paid Symantec a handsome profit having turned their $150MM investment into $530MM.  Without his leadership, the future of the Huawei appliances becomes more risky and filled with uncertainty.
